Claire and Ashley reach a stalemate Also in Weatherfield Maya (Sasha Behar) reminds Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) that today would have been their wedding day, had they gone to the Caribbean. However any ideas of a romantic day are thwarted for Maya as Sunita (Shobna Gulati) takes a funny turn in the shop, and Dev is instantly to her rescue. When he takes poorly Sunita back to her flat to rest, he struggles with the growing feelings for his former love. Will he tell Sunita how he really feels? Elsewhere, Les (Bruce Jones) ropes in Cilla (Wendi Peters), Kirk (Andrew Whyment) and Jamie Baldwin (Rupert Hill) to help recover some of his belongings dumped at the tip. But after a day rummaging through mountains of rubbish, he realises that he is in a worse situation then he ever was. Dev is with Maya but does he really love Sunita? Sunita (Shobna Gulati) confides in Shelley (Sally Lindsay) that she has noticed a change in mood since Dev’s trip but Shelley warns her against falling for Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) after what happened last time and Sunita reluctantly agrees. Meanwhile he is struggling to come to terms with his growing feeling of love for Sunita. After Maya (Sasha Behar) innocently suggests that life is too short, and that she and Dev should marry as soon as possible, Dev is overcome with emotion and visits Sunita in her flat. She is dumbstruck when he finally admits that he loves her. But how will Sunita react? Claire (Julia Haworth) and Ashley (Steven Arnold) are both upset over their spur of the moment split and Ashley decides that he must tell Claire the truth about Josh. At the salon flat, he finds Claire half out the front door with her bags packed. She tells him she is leaving because she thinks Josh shouldn't be misled about who his mummy is. Ashley breaks down and admits to a stunned Claire that he agrees with her, but it's so awkward for him because he isn't Josh’s real father! Penny (Pauline Fleming) finally relents and gives Ciaran (Keith Duffy) a cheque for £50,000 for the investment in Nexus. He is ecstatic that Penny is willing to put her faith in him, and Tracy (Kate Ford) playfully teases him about his profound effect on women. The flirting between the two reaches boiling point, and they fall onto the couch in a passionate clinch. Maya seeks reassurance as Dev cracks over Sunita Sunita (Shobna Gulati) turns down Dev (Jimmi Harkishin), convinced that he is only saying he loves her because she might not have very long to live. Dev is distraught by this and takes his foul mood out on Maya (Sasha Behar). Torn between the two women in his life, he seeks refuge in the Rovers Return to drown his sorrows. At drinking up time Shelley (Sally Lindsay) gives him a piece of her mind over his treatment of Sunita. He breaks down in tears and tries to convince her that he truly loves Sunita, but desperately doesn't want to hurt Maya. Tracy (Kate Ford) and Ciaran (Keith Duffy) struggle to keep their sexy secret. Keen for no-one to know what is going on, the pair of them decide to keep their liaison under wraps for now. Tracy enjoys playful banter with her Irish lover before going home to face the wrath of Blanche (Maggie Jones) and Ken (William Roache). Later on in the Rovers, Ciaran offers Tracy a repeat performance, but the man-eating minx plays hard to get! And Claire (Julia Haworth) and Ashley (Steven Arnold) re- unite. Ashley explains to Claire that Josh is a product of a brief affair that Maxine (Tracy Shaw) had. He tells her that he doesn't want Josh to be a permanent reminder of the one time Maxine hurt him and Claire comforts him. After their heart to heart they realise that they are meant to be together, and have a tearful reconciliation. Dev’s bombshell blows up in his face Shelley (Sally Lindsay) tries to convince Sunita (Shobna Gulati) that she believes Dev is serious about his feelings for her. Sunita remains unconvinced, saying Dev only loves her out of pity. Sunita decides the best thing to do would be to leave Weatherfield for good. When a gleeful Maya (Sasha Behar) tells Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) that Sunita is going, he dashes round to her flat and begs her to stay. Maya turns up and demands to know why Dev is trying to stop Sunita from leaving. Will Dev finally admit his true feelings to both women? Ciaran (Keith Duffy) puts his Nexus plan into action. He calls Charlie (Bill Ward) round to Nexus to discuss the work he wants to do. They are joined by Tracy (Kate Ford) and Shelley (Sally Lindsay) who jibe at each other throughout the meeting. Afterwards Tracy plays hard to get again when Ciaran asks her back to the flat, but it is clear that the sexual frustration is mounting between the two, as they continue to play it cool with each other! At Ashley's house, he and Claire (Julia Haworth) put their relationship back on an even keel and discuss the idea of marriage. They gently joke with each other about Ashley's (Steven Arnold) failed proposal. But will Ashley pop the question again? And over at the Grimshaws, Jason (Ryan Thomas) is shocked to find a strange man in the house, and assumes that he is one of Todd's (Bruno Langley) conquests. Dev lays his emotional cards on the table Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) is a desperate man. He calls Sunita (Shobna Gulati) continuously and insists that he will keep ringing her until she talks to him, because he loves her so much. She is still very confused and refuses to answer his calls. Maya (Sasha Behar) goes to Dev's flat to collect her belongings, and it is clear she is a broken woman, full of bitterness and anger. Dev attempts to apologise to his former fiancée but she breaks down and sobs hysterically into his chest. Maya then begs for another chance but Dev sticks to his guns and tells her gently that they can't get back together. Later, Dev visits Sunita and pleads with her to give them a chance. Will Sunita admit she loves Dev? Meanwhile soccer 'star' Warren Baldwin (Danny Young) bounces into Weatherfield, much to the surprise of his family. He tells Danny (Bradley Walsh), Frankie (Debra Stephenson) and Jamie (Rupert Hill) that he has come to stay with them for a couple of weeks because he can't play due to an ankle injury. Frankie believes him but the two men are not convinced. Warren also shows off his impressive soccer skills to Maria (Samia Ghadie) and Candice (Nikki Sanderson) who try very hard not to be taken in by the cheeky young cockney. It's also the day of Katy Harris's (Lucy-Jo Hudson) practical driving exam, and even Tommy (Tom Craig) agrees with Martin (Sean Wilson) that a short skirt and high heels are not going to help her pass her Friday the 13th test.
