Todd fights to see his son, as the baby fights for his life

Todd (Bruno Langley) is waiting anxiously by the phone to find out the condition of his baby boy. When he finds out how ill he is, he races to the hospital to try and see Sarah and his son, but Sarah (Tina O’Brien) gets very distressed and calls out for security to take him away. Later on, Sarah is thrilled to touch her tiny baby for the first time. Audrey (Sue Nicholls) and Gail (Helen Worth) watch the two bond, but suddenly there is a commotion of doctors and nurses around Sarah and Billy. Todd then gets a call to go to the hospital. He is overjoyed, thinking that he will be able to see Billy, but when he gets there he is told that it is too late – the baby has died.

Back at The Rovers Return, Sonia (Tina Gambe), Bev (Susie Blake), and Sunita (Shobna Gulati) are dolled up the nines to try and get a date with Danny (Bradley Walsh). Mike (Johnny Briggs) is amused as he watches his nephew flirt with the ladies. Sonia asks Danny out for a drink but he makes it clear he won’t date members of staff. Bev preens herself to ask Danny out but is stunned when Danny turns to Sunita to ask her for a date. But will the sexy shop girl say yes?

Sarah (Tina O’Brien) is hysterical, and when it comes to registering her son’s death she refuses to put his first name on the certificates. Also Sally’s (Sally Whittaker) new business plan goes ahead at the garage. Not truly knowing the business, but believing that Kevin (Michael Le Vell) is not really working to capacity, Sally has booked in too many cars, leaving Kevin no choice but to pay Tommy (Thomas Graig) and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) extortionate rates to agree to stay on and finish the work.

Anxious to be of support to Sarah (Tina O’Brien), he arrives at the hospital and is furious to find Karl (Chris Finch) already at her bedside. Sally (Sally Whittaker) is still determined to get Kevin (Michael Le Vell) to pull his socks up at the garage, and although Tommy (Tom Craig) and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) are pleased with all the extra cash they are raking in from overtime, they are starting to struggle with the extra workload. A surprise visitor ruins Danny's romantic plans
Sunita (Shobna Gulati) is over the moon about her date with Danny (Bradley Walsh), after the cockney charmer wooed her the previous evening. Looking forward to a repeat performance, she offers to get pizza and spend the night in with him at number seven. The evening starts off badly for Danny, however, when Tracy (Kate Ford) arrives back in Weatherfield and lets herself into the house, unaware that Blanche has let it out. As Danny and Tracy both refuse to leave the house there is a knock at the door and Danny is stunned to come face to face with his wife Frankie (Debra Stephenson). Sunita picks that very moment to arrive with two pizzas. Tracy is amused, Sunita is hurt, and Frankie wants some answers.

Martin (Sean Wilson) is facing up to the fact that his attack on Karl (Chris Finch) is going to have serious consequences. He finds himself suspended, pending an internal investigation. Meanwhile a frail and emotional Sarah (Tina O'Brien) arrives home to a sea of sympathy cards and realizes that getting life back to normal is going to be even more difficult than she imagined.

Kevin (Michael Le Vell) is facing mutiny at the garage over Sally's (Sally Webster) meddling. This time she has decided to change the name for a more up-to-date feel, and wants to put fliers in the Gazette. Monday 7 June 7.30 - 8pm ITV1

Todd and Sarah prepare to bury their baby

In the first of two emotionally charged episodes to be shown this evening, Todd (Bruno Langley) and Sarah (Tina O'Brien) are preparing to bury their baby son. Estranged and distraught, the two young parents are coping with the situation in very different ways. Sarah is adamant she won't attend the funeral, whereas Todd is devastated that he isn't welcome at the service. In a moving speech, Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh) manages to persuade Sarah that she should say a proper farewell to Billy. Meanwhile, Todd is forced to be an outcast and mere bystander as the hearse, complete with tiny, white coffin, and it’s entourage pull away from the street, leaving him empty and bereft.

On a lighter note, Janice (Vicky Entwistle) and Les (Bruce Jones) are looking forward to their day out with Chesney (Sam Aston). Things don't go quite to plan when he throws up in the car and they are forced to return. Finding themselves alone as Chesney recovers upstairs, Les seizes the initiative and makes a heartfelt plea for her to give their marriage another go … almost killing Janice in the process.

Having spent the night at Mike's (Johnny Briggs), Danny (Bradley Walsh) and Frankie (Debra Stephenson) are still trying to mend fences as they rake over the ashes of their ruined marriage. Both seem keen to give things another go, but first of all Danny has got some explaining to do to Sunita (Shobna Gulati).

This episode of CORONATION STREET is written by Jonathan Harvey, produced by Tony Wood, and directed by Terry Dyddgen-Jones. The executive producer is Carolyn Reynolds. It is a Granada Television production for ITV1.

Monday 7 June 8.30 - 9pm ITV1

Baby Billy is laid to rest

As the solemn funeral entourage arrives at the church, Sarah (Tina O'Brien) almost crumbles as she thinks about what might have been, and the fact that she should have been walking down the aisle to get married – not behind her son's coffin. She manages to regain her composure and dignity as she prepares to bury her tiny baby. Meanwhile Todd (Bruno Langley) has come to a decision and arrives at the cemetery as the burial service begins. He watches from the sidelines but can't contain himself and steps forward to the graveside clutching one of Billy's teddies. A devastated David (Jack P Shepherd) launches himself at the man he sees as responsible for everything that has happened; but how will Sarah react?

Having shocked Janice (Vicky Entwistle) into doing a runner, Les (Bruce Jones) decides that he will join Patrick's (Trevor Dwyer - Lynch) 40th birthday celebrations with the rest of the gang. Typically, the Streetcars drivers have chosen a rather seedy joint across town rather than the Rovers. As they ogle the waitresses, Patrick oversteps the mark and a scuffle breaks out, resulting in them all getting thrown out into the street, along with one of the scantily clad waitresses. Furious, she turns on the gang, but as her belly dancer's mask falls off, Les is stunned to find himself looking into the face of non other than his daughter Leanne (Jane Danson).

Having made the decision to make another go of their marriage, Danny (Bradley Walsh) now has to persuade Frankie (Debra Stephenson) that their future is in the north. He convinces her that this fresh start is the best thing for them after everything they have put each other through, but she's less than convinced about the merits of living on Coronation Street.

This episode of CORONATION STREET is written by Carmel Morgan, produced by Tony Wood, and directed by Terry Dyddgen-Jones. The executive producer is Carolyn Reynolds. It is a Granada Television production for ITV1.

Wednesday 9 June 7.30 - 8pm ITV1

Charlie is caught between mother and daughter – again

Shelley (Sally Lindsay) is excited at the prospect of an evening with Charlie (Bill Ward), who is equally thrilled as the thought of getting her into bed for the first time. But when Sunita (Shobna Gulati) arrives with tickets for a new club, Shelley is torn. She wants to spend the evening with Charlie but she feels guilty about abandoning her friend after the fiasco with Danny Baldwin (Bradley Walsh). Before she gets a chance to tell Charlie about the change of plans, however, Sunita innocently fills him in on their night out together. Furious that she has chosen Sunita over him, he proceeds to get rather worse for wear in the pub, and when Bev (Suzie Blake) asks him to stay for a drink after hours, he makes it very clear it's not just a drink he's after.

Les (Bruce Jones) is still coming to terms with finding Leanne (Jane Danson) working as a hostess in a seedy pole-dancing bar, and he demands to know why she lied about what she was up to. Leanne is forced to admit that things had not worked out quite as she planned, and she agrees to stick around in Weatherfield for a while.

Encouraged by Sarah's (Tina O'Brien) reaction to his arrival at the funeral, Todd (Bruno Langley) leaves a present for Beth's birthday on the doorstep. He's stunned, therefore, when Sarah tells him in no uncertain terms that he is not welcome at their house and will most definitely not play a part in Beth's life.

Elsewhere, Frankie Baldwin is making her presence felt on Coronation Street - and starting to enjoy herself in the process!

This episode of CORONATION STREET is written by Peter Whalley, produced by Tony Wood, and directed by Terry Dyddgen-Jones. The executive producer is Carolyn Reynolds. It is a Granada Television production for ITV1.

Bev (Suzie Blake) is wracked with guilt after her night of passion with Charlie (Bill Ward), especially when she sees him and Shelley (Sally Lindsay) kiss and make up in the Rovers. She tackles Charlie, who makes it very clear that the previous evening meant nothing to him and Shelley need never find out. Realizing that Shelley is heading for more heartache if she hooks up with the randy builder, Bev comes to the conclusion that the only way forward is for her to confess.

Leanne (Jane Danson) is settling back into life in Weatherfield, but is surprised when she sees Nick (Adam Rickitt) in the street and asks Les (Bruce Jones) and Janice (Vicky Entwistle) why he isn't in Canada. When they tell her that he has hooked up with Maria, Leanne is furious that he is engaged to the girl who ruined Toyah's life.

Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is stunned when she finds a surveyor measuring up at the house. Steve (Simon Gregson) tries to explain that he kept plans for the sale from her because he felt she had gone through enough recently. It is the final straw for Eileen.

Elsewhere a ghostly chill in the Kabin stockroom has got Norris's (Malcom Hebden) imagination working overtime.

Unflappable Charlie reminds Shelley about her mother's previous lies and her determination to split them up. Confused and angry, Shelley confides in Betty (Betty Driver) who tells her to trust her instincts. Who will she believe?

Leanne (Jane Danson) decides to make Nick (Adam Rickitt) and Maria (Samia Ghadie) pay for what she feels they have done to her and her family. Booking a hair appointment with Maria, she chats about love life, admiring Maria's engagement ring and letting Maria regale her with tales of her fiancé's tarty ex-wife. Maria is chuffed to have found a new mate, and excitedly introduces Leanne to Nick in the Rovers. As it immediately becomes obvious exactly who Leanne is, Maria sees red and the fur flies as she lays in to an amused and triumphant Leanne.

Having sold it complete with sitting tenant, Karen (Suranne Jones) and Steve are desperate not to let the sale fall through.
